It's 'Cool' to Win PMG Sustainability Award

To remainstrong and keep our automation equipment running in top condition going intothe next decade of the 21st Century Miami P&DC recently had installed threenew state-of-the-art air compressors and dryers.

To savemoney on Miami P&DC’s water bills it also had a new water meter, backflowvalve and water supply line installed to feed its chilled water towers. Inaddition to the aforesaid Miami P&DC had one new 550 ton chiller installedthis fall and is in the process of having another one installed to replace itstwo 31 year old outdated energy eating 450 ton chillers.

These newchillers will help save on electric bills, lower our carbon footprint and keepour employees cool and dry throughout the hot summer months ahead.

For thesecond year in a row Miami P&DC received Honorable Mention for thenPostmaster General’s Sustainability Award for saving over $308,000 on ourelectric bills. Last year it won the Postmaster General’s Sustainability Awardfor saving over $450,000 on electric bills.
